Courtesy, respect, and confidence in party and dining situations is becoming very important to this age group. Teen Etiquette answers a lot of their questions about how to approach social and academic situations. Most teens have a strong intuitive sense that appropriate behavior on their part results in acceptance of them by peers and adults. This class helps them understand that good manners are not just for special occasions, but really work for them in everyday life.
The social education includes extending and receiving invitations, host/hostess and guest duties, the ABC’s of table manners, napkins, silverware, china and crystal, being served and serving yourself, foods that are difficult to eat, the do’s and don’ts of dining, tipping, grooming, posture, movies and concerts and thank-you notes.
Dance education includes Carribean Hustle, Vienna Waltz, additional Line dances and continued review of Fox Trot, Waltz and Shag if they have already taken Social I and/or Social II.
